LOS ANGELES (The Hollywood Reporter) --- The transition for "Buffy
the Vampire Slayer" from the WB Network to UPN won't be as
seamless as UPN executives might have hoped when they scheduled
the series in its traditional Tuesday 8 p.m. slot.
The WB has changed its plan to launch a movie night on Wednesdays
during the summer to Tuesdays, thus bumping "Buffy" repeats
to Wednesday.
In an AOL Time Warner synergy move, the WB will air the TNT original
movie "Witchblade" on Tuesday and will officially kick
in the "Flix From the Frog" movie night June 5 with "I
Know What You Did Last Summer," co- starring "Buffy's"
Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Beginning June 6, "Buffy" will air Wednesdays at 9 p.m.,
while the regular occupant of the time period, "Felicity,"
will take the summer off.
"Buffy" spinoff "Angel," which is scheduled
to run Mondays at 9 p.m. next season, will move into its new slot
beginning June 4, replacing another UPN-bound series, "Roswell,"
which will not air during the summer.
